Growing up in the inner city of Pittsburgh, this was the view from my front porch. Pittsburgh was blessed by several wealthy families, that donated land to create fabulous city parks. My favorite, is of course, Frick Park. Made famous by Mac Miller, rest in peace brother, Blue Slide Park (Upper Frick Squirrel Hill Side) is Fucking Cool. Trails to hike, tennis courts, a dog park in the back, and a cool playground, featuring a blue slide, as we always called it, Cement Slide Park (Upper Frick) is Fucking Cool and has one of the best sled riding hills in the world! 

Healthy eating is something we’ve heard about in Pittsburgh, but not the most important to us. We enjoy a delicious mean far more than a healthy one. When the Pittsburghers who came before us worked in the Steel mills they didn’t have time to sit down for lunch. The ate sandwiches with their side dishes all inside. Over time, this concept has evolved into many French fried covered creations. Our favorite is the Pittsburgh Salad. Grilled steak or chicken on a bed of fresh greens,with a layer of French fries and melted cheese on top. Yum! Make sure yinz try one when you’re in da Burgh!
